The early days of supplying the retailers weren't without their problems, however. The retailers didn't fully appreciate her colourful, quirky designs and requested that she might tone them down, make them more subdued and commercial. Fortunately, Harder stayed true to her own sense of style and her brand grew from strength to strength. As a self-confessed dog lover, Harder started cutting out images of a West Highland Terrier and applying them to her bags and purses and the public were instantly hooked! Now almost everything she produces carries the ubiquitous Westie dog and the brand Radley enjoys a reported worth of £150 million and a stellar celebrity following.
